Platform: Windows (All Versions)

Review by George Norman (Cybersecurity Editor)

There is much to like about Hola: it is available for multiple platforms, it is free, it is quite easy to use, it allows you to access websites that have been blocked, and it gives your internet connection a boost. So use it for free to access websites that are not available in your country and to surf the web at greater speeds. Isn’t that great? I certainly think so!

As mentioned above, Hola is available for multiple platforms: Windows (32 or 64-bit editions), Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Android.
The Hola installer for Windows is little over 8MB in size. Download said installer, run it, and a setup wizard will show up and take you through the installation process.

Hola has a cheerful, good looking, and user friendly interface. From said interface you can enable/disable the internet accelerator, activate/deactivate the unblocker, access a list of unblocked sites, view accelerator statistics, view for how long you’ve been connected to the web, see how many packets you sent and received, access the Settings menu, and more.

Certain websites do not allow you to access the content they host just because you’re from a particular country. Hola helps you circumvent this block – it gives you access to websites that are not available in your country. It also allows you to access websites blocked by your company or your school. On top of that, Hola allows you to surf the web anonymously and gives your internet connection a speed boost.

Hola is free software. The developer explained that Hola will continue to remain free for the users and that there are no plans at the moment to open source Hola in the near future.

Unblock websites and give your internet connection a speed boost with Hola.

Pros

Hola is free. Hola is available for Windows, Android, Chrome, and Firefox. The application has a cheerful interface. Hola grants access to blocked websites and boosts your browsing speed. Hola is free.

Cons

None that I could think of.
